Littlebird Metaverse is a world on the open web. I've been working and living in virtual reality worlds for more than 20 years.
For many of those years, I explored the possibilities of the future of VR and immersive gaming,but until very recently, with the introduction
of WebVR and, even more recently, WebXR, it just wasn't achieveable on a meaningful scale. Suddenly, all the pieces were fitting together. I
knew i was in for a lot of work, over many years to come, but I knew it was time!
In 2021, during one of our weekly Administration Meetings in one of the worlds I had created, I discussed the State of Things, what i had discovered,
and my ideas for recreating that world on the web. I didn't get much support, as all my people were very comfortable with where we were. But...
like I said, I knew it was time to move. I made a decision to close that world. A very small handful of my administration and some of my Maintenance Team came along for the initial
journey, but there was nothing here yet... no avatars... no ground... no sky.. there was nothing at all.
Well.. everyone left, except me. This is my world and
I am its Governor. I live here full time. I work here 16 hours a day or more. I play here, i test here. I create endlessly...
This is only the beginning. I don't do this work for myself, for my own benefit.. it doesn't really benefit me. I don't get any money for this. I dont get breaks
or vacations. I work non-stop, almost every waking moment, just as I have done for many many years now. This I do for you... for everyone. This is my world... but, really...
this is your world! I know it kinda sucks right now, and its a dreamy thing... but keep coming back and you'll be a witness to the Creation of this metaverse as it develops into someting you could never have imagined...
and you can't possibly yet imagine the speed at which I will do it. It will take many years, of course... and, like all my worlds... the Work will never truly end, but I'll be here.... anyways....
On August 20, 2025, after a 9 month leave from the Work (here), I returned. But something was different this time... this time, I had committed myselfto a 5-year plan for this Work here.
For the next five years, i will work in this world every day and continuously develop it for you... and then, when it's finally ready... i will step back from my Work here,
and I will watch from the Veil(you can't see it... only admins see it :p) as you, all of you, take the reigns of Creation.
You are the Gods of this world... You are its Resident.... me.... I'm just the Governor... what would I know about being a User :D
If you do choose to explore this world... you will certainly find many wonderful things... and, ultimately, you may see me around here or there.... I might be present, i might be away, on another screen or, AFK or something else.. who knows? :O Feel free to ask me things or chat with me.

Littlebird Metaverse is being built on JanusXR (currently based on release 1.5.56). You can find out more about the JanusXR project by visiting their

I will create documentation about how things work here and how you can do things, create things, etc.... as soon as i have developed something that's going to be stable. I've been here a long time now, and I have tested a lot of ideas. So far.... it's all still a bit unstable and not very user-friendly(at all!) yet.
Believe me, I will fix it soon!
